Websites That I Like

On the Internet, there are so many different kinds of websites that a person can visit.Among the most popular websites are social networking websites, news websites, entertainment websites and the list keeps on growing.  For me however, my favourite type of websites are sports websites( mainly football of course). the reason i love sports websites is because I'm a sports fanatic. Sports for me is like eating and breathing, i need it to survive. God knows what would happen to me if there we no more sports websites. I would probably be crawled up in the fetal position in some lunatic asylum.
Anyway, getting back on topic, sports websites are hybrid websites because the are a combination of news and entertainment. They post updates on current sports event for their fans to read and often write editorials for the fans to analyse. They make their money by advertising products on the site to generate income. I'll use my personal favourite website Goal.com. as an example. Goal.com post updates on matches and transfer dealings in the world of football. They also include interviews with famous footballing figures and write up editorials on current football matters. They often advertise Nike and Adidas products and have a following of around half a million. Apart from that, they take part in charity events such as the 1Goal charity drive that collects donations to give to underprivileged children across the world.
Sports websites for me are the best but that doesn't mean i don't check out other sites. I'm often on news websites to keep up with what happening around the world and visit Facebook to keep in touch with my close mates. All in all, A person chooses their websites based on the likes and interest and because of this, websites will never die off so long there are people with stories to share.

Arsenal against Malaysia

On the 13th of July 2011, one of my many dreams came true. That dream was to see the players of Arsenal FC live in the flesh. Those two days in Bukit Jalil stadium  will forever be engraved in my soul as an Arsenal fan.The day before the actual match was pretty relaxed as the team had a training session. Those of us there saw probably a fraction of what the players are actuall capable of as they danced around the pitch with the ball seemingly glued to their legs.It was a joy to see our team players laugh and joke around with each other and at the same time acknowledging us fans by waving and coming over to lets us get a better view of them.

The day of the match was incredible even before i entered the stadium. Never before have i seen so many Arsenal supporters in a single place. The area surrounding the stadium was filled witt Arsenal colours and also those of our national team. Also, the food selection was so big, you would think that you were actually walking the streets of Penang.

After i tried out the food, next up was the match. I was shocked to see the number of fans already in the stadium by the time i entered considering i went in an hour early. Finally, when the players made their way into the pitch, the crowd erupted with screams for both Hairmau Malaya and Arsenal FC. From the minute te whistle blew right till the end, it was nothing but pure ecstasy. Watching Arsenal pass around the Malaysian backline and seeing Malaysia try to push through a counter attack using their wingers was all the parts i loved about football. No suprise when the final whistle sounded that Arsenal won the match by four goals. Malaysia put in a good shift but they were outclassed by a team so fulll of confidence, talent and drive. There are many moments that made my jawdrop in awe. The first was Theo Walcott's angelic like chip over the Malaysian golie. The second was Nasri's solo dribble that left about four Malaysian players eating grass, that run was mesmerizing and left the crowd screaming his name... NASRI!! NASRI!!

Arsenal left the next day to China but what they left behind will probably be remembered by most Gooners for a long long time, especially this Gooner.

A quick look at myself

As most of you reading this will know my name is Arun.I'll be turing 21 this year on the 25th of October and cant wait to get my hands on all the lovely presents i'm blackmailing people to get me. I am, and always will be a fan of Arenal FC and a student of football. Why i say a student of football is because you can relate may aspects of life to football.
My world revolves around my family which consists of my parents and two younger brothers. Outside my family, i'm closely attached to my friends and relatives and enjoy meeting new people. Aside from my love of football, i have other interests in the form of gaming and weight lifting. I consider myself to be a very freindly person eventhough my big frame tends to make people think otherwise. Thats pretty much all i can think about myself.
Im going to move on and talk a bit about media technology. The class is pretty cool because i get to keep track of all the new stuff already out therein the tech world. I also get to imporve my knowledge about the stuff i already know about thanks to Ms. Nabilah's lessons. For me, tech is something that we all have to keep track of no matter how old you are. This is because tech is there to help you improve what you already have and keeps you in touch will all the coolest gadgets. From a media prespective, it makes it easier to spread the news and keep in touch with things that you like. Without the innovations in tech today , i think i would die of boredom or be back living in the stone age. Technology is there to be used and we should seize the opportunitygiven to us.
